The Artopium Art Troupe
|
The Artopium Art Troupe is a collective of individuals who
have banded together to rove through the U.S. and Europe,
in an effort to create new art niches in the towns
they visit, where local artists, musicians, fashion
designers, authors and filmmakers can share their works.
The owner and operator of Artopium.com,
Michael Betthauser, has made it his mission to travel the
world by bicycle as a way of
connecting with new art and helping to bring it into the
limelight.
Mike is currently seeking to form the Artopium Art Troupe
while here in Austin, Texas, and has been "roving"
within the Austin city borders in an effort to do this.
Mike hopes to have a complete troupe put together in time
for his European trip in the beginning of 2009, and so far
has many exciting responses. Are you someone who wants to
travel with Mike through the U.S. and Europe, throwing art
festivals along the  way?
Here's some things Mike is looking for in potential troupe
members:
You are creative or artistic in some way.
You like to ride bicycles and you currently own one.
You like to go camping, A LOT, and are keen on adventure.
You also own your own camping gear.
You are not opposed to guerilla
urban camping.
You are a hard worker. It takes a lot to put a festival
together.
You have some experience in stage managing, sound engineering,
promotion, etc.
You REALLY want to do this!
